Originally from Calgary, Pat Buckna’s been performing since the 1970’s. He launched the first record label in the NWT while living in Fort Smith in 1982. He was artistic director of the Folk on the Rocks music festival in Yellowknife and composed music for the NWT pavilion at Expo ’86 in Vancouver. Since moving to Powell River seven years ago, Pat’s been active in the house concert and acoustic roots music scenes and hosts a monthly song circle at Cranberry Hall.
